The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) and IMG are continuing their collaboration! The two entities have prolonged their agreement, encompassing aspects like global media distribution, information, and digital broadcasting. Although the precise duration remains undisclosed, the arrangement will persist for multiple years. The APL’s objective? To expand the viewership of their premier competitions – the Isuzu UTE A-League for men and the Liberty A-League for women – and enhance the commercial facets.

What are the practical implications? IMG will retain responsibility for handling and disseminating the APL’s media rights beyond Australia and New Zealand. Concurrently, IMG Arena will diligently gather official match statistics and share them with over 460 authorized sports wagering operators worldwide.

Nick Garcia, the APL’s chief executive, expressed satisfaction with the agreement. He perceives it as a testament to the growth potential of Australian and New Zealand football. He is also enthusiastic about maintaining the partnership with IMG, leveraging their proficiency and extensive international reach.

Garcia emphasized the A-Leagues’ role as a talent incubator, nurturing both national team standouts and emerging athletes. With the Liberty A-League incorporating three new women’s squads and the Isuzu UTE A-League welcoming two new men’s teams, the future promises even more football action. Anticipate additional goals, narratives, and excitement for supporters!

IMGs high-ranking official, Dale Levin, conveyed immense pleasure with the robust alliance IMG has established with the A-League, emphasizing their role in the league’s remarkable expansion over the preceding six years.

On a separate note, FanDuel recently incorporated IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre into its sports wagering platform. This development allows FanDuel users within the United States to now place wagers on the PGA Tour live.
