Chester and Darlington soccer organizations are the newest participants in the National Lotto Soccer Weekends, mirroring the path set by Telford United. This program, honoring non-league soccer, will provide over 100,000 fortunate lotto participants with complimentary match passes.

Chester commended the National Lotto for extending a vital resource to non-league teams during the global health crisis, offering a £12.5 million (US$16.7 million) reserve that counterbalanced diminished income from game-day admissions. They perceive this as an ideal method to reciprocate and express gratitude to those players who contributed to maintaining their operations.

Chester will stage their National Lotto Soccer Weekend game on April 2nd, commencing at 3 PM at the Deva Stadium.

Darlington’s complimentary ticket initiative will apply to their contest versus Boston United on March 26th. Darlington’s Chief Operating Officer, David Johnston, remarked: “It’s outstanding to have the opportunity to return the favor to National Lotto players who assisted in keeping us solvent until spectators could come back. This is a fantastic approach to acknowledge that backing – it’s what sustains organizations like ours and grants individuals the chance to encounter this caliber of distinctive soccer.”

The UKs National Lottery’s football weekend received support from renowned football figures Ally McCoist and Karen Carney, with both representatives commending the tenacity of non-league football organizations.

McCoist emphasized the significance of these teams: “These organizations are incredibly vital to countless individuals within their local areas, and they were impacted more severely than possibly any other aspect of our sport during the global health crisis. The assistance from National Lottery participants was crucial in helping them persevere, and now you can encourage them once more, but this time from the spectator stands.”

Teams such as Chester FC anticipate welcoming supporters back to their grounds, with the club’s vice-chairman Jim Green conveying his pleasure: “The National Lottery Football Weekend enables us to show appreciation to those who hold the greatest importance – our supporters.”
