AstroPay, a fintech firm, has teamed up with Tebca PerĂº to introduce a Visa prepaid card in the Peruvian market. This initiative seeks to offer more attainable digital payment solutions, particularly for individuals lacking conventional banking relationships.

The card enables users to conduct online transactions wherever Visa is recognized and even provides cashback incentives. AstroPay views this as a crucial move in broadening its footprint within Peru’s burgeoning digital economy.

This rollout follows a comparable endeavor in the United Kingdom, underscoring AstroPay’s worldwide expansion plan. The company intends to deploy the prepaid card throughout Latin America, with Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina being primary objectives.

Guillermo Dotta, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer of AstroPay, stressed the significance of this launch, affirming that it reinforces AstroPay’s standing as a prominent participant in Peru’s payments sector. He emphasized the company’s dedication to delivering straightforward and protected financial tools for everyone.
