iGB Live! and iGB Affiliate Amsterdam were recognized with the top prize for Best Trade Show Award – Members – iGB.
Clarion Gaming’s iGB brand was nominated for an Exhibition News Award for its leadership in the revival of in-person gatherings.
iGB Live! and iGB Affiliate Amsterdam were among the finalists for the Best International Trade Show category at this year’s awards ceremony. It will be vying against international events from the hospitality, energy and manufacturing sectors on March 18, just prior to the opening of iGB Affiliate London at London ExCeL on April 13.
Naomi Barton, iGB Portfolio Director, characterized the awards as the ideal prelude to the return of iGB Affiliate London.
“We are deeply humbled to be shortlisted alongside such accomplished and well-known events,” stated Barton. “This is a significant tribute to the Clarion team, the Amsterdam RAI team and our community of attendees, exhibitors and sponsors who collaborated tirelessly and with such enthusiasm to deliver a record-breaking edition.”
She highlighted that the measurements employed by the adjudicators prioritized exhibitor contentment as a central standard, with post-event investigations by Explori placing iGB Live! and iGB Affiliate London among the top 10% of gatherings for visitor benchmarks and in the top 2% for exhibitors.
“Making the shortlist is a remarkable accomplishment in itself, and advancing further would be the ideal preparation for welcoming global attendees in April.”
This year’s iGB Affiliate London will occur on April 13-14, and is nearly one-third larger than the 2020 edition, featuring 159 exhibitors and sponsors from 29 regions. It will occupy three halls at ExCeL London, encompassing both established names and first-time exhibitors.
Barton mentioned that pre-registration figures have also risen considerably, due to the UK government relaxing travel restrictions. There has also been a notable increase in registrations from the US market, which has a total addressable market that is projected to expand by 200% over the next five years.
“Comments from the Association of Exhibition Organisers, whose members host over 1,700 events annually, indicate that returning visitors are feeling safe and secure, while also displaying a high degree of pent-up demand and eagerness to conduct business,” she stated. “All the signs point towards iGB Affiliate London being a tremendous success and a memorable gathering.”
